History
In the early 1900's, the original brick building was the William D. Packard Family Mansion. Mr. Packard was the inventor of the Packard Automobile.
In April of 1946, the mansion became the Blue Cross Hospital of Warren.
In June of 1946, Blue Cross Hospital changed names to become Green Cross Hospital of Warren.
In June 1962, Green Cross Hospital became known as Community Hospital of Warren, an acute care hospital.
In April of 1979, Community Hospital of Warren closed giving rise to Community Skilled Nursing Centre, a skilled not-for-profit nursing center.
In 1998, to progress into the new millennium, Community Skilled Nursing Centre transformed into Community Skilled Health Care Centre.
Also in 1998, the facility completed a 1.1 million dollar renovation. The renovation included the development of a 32 bed Alzheimer's Unit.
